Order of use

To apply, dispense a lotion amount equivalent to the size of a large coin onto your palm. Then, gently and evenly apply it to your entire face.

Once you've applied the first layer evenly, follow up by dispensing a lotion amount similar to the size of a small coin onto your palm. Apply it twice, ensuring it thoroughly penetrates into the stratum corneum.

Paeonia Lactiflora is a precious natural remedy employed not only in traditional Chinese medicine but also as a valuable beauty ingredient. Tsukuba Botan Garden, under the stewardship of a dedicated 'soil craftsman,' nurtures Paeonia Lactiflora organically, devoid of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Within the Paeonia Lactiflora root lies paeoniflorin, known to stimulate the production of HSP70, a self-healing protein. Extracts painstakingly derived through experimentation are harnessed to address skin tone and blemishes.

Secret of development
Because this lotion is the center of daily care, we wanted to develop a lotion that can deal with both spots and wrinkles, the two biggest skin problems for adults. In this context, premium lotions were born.
In the 2017 upgrade of the Premium Series, we added Paeonia Lactiflora Extract that enhances the skin's natural recovery power. This extract was not originally planned to be included in the Premium Series, but we succeeded in developing it just before the upgrade. Because the ingredient could approach photoaging, the cause of wrinkles and spots, we were eager to formulate it in the series and managed to do so.
Initially, Premium Lotion was a light and refreshing skincare. But we received requests to make it slightly moister, so we worked to improve the feel of the lotion. In order to achieve both a thicker feel and better penetration, we repeated a trial-and-error process that involved interviewing our loyal users and checking with our researchers' own hands. As a result, we succeeded in increasing the moisturizing power by 1.3 times compared to the conventional lotion. With the updated Premium Lotion, we succeeded in achieving both a thicker texture and better penetration.

Q. Which is better, applying it by hand or using cotton?
A. DERMED recommends that you apply it directly to the skin by hand. Also, when applied with the palm of the hand, the warmth of the hand increases the penetration of skincare ingredients. Skin condition changes daily depending on your physical condition and environment. So, check your skin condition while applying the lotion with your palm. Cotton is recommended for lotion packs around the eyes and mouth where tend to be dry.
